The backyard sports court is where we spend most summer evenings, shooting hoops until the porch light flickers. It's got a bouncy asphalt surface that's perfect for basketball, but we've used chalk to mark lines for pickleball and badminton too. The chain-link fence keeps the ball from disappearing into the neighbor's hydrangeas.
