We just finished adding a new patio cover to the backyard. It’s a simple slatted design that lets some light through but keeps off the harsh midday sun. I’m really happy with how it turned out; it makes the whole space feel like an outdoor room. Now we can actually sit outside on hot afternoons without cooking, and the dogs have a shady spot to lie down. It wasn’t a huge project, but it completely changes how we use the yard.
